Here's the team that will be hammered.....

Since I don't see this team scoring and I don't see Liverpool not scoring, I'm going for a Liverpool win. Hopefully not a thrashing, but who knows? Ho hum.

I am beyond hope on the result front, just hoping for a better representation of who we are than the Man City shambles. The gulf in class isn't always as clearly defined as team A beats team B and team A gets beat by team C, therefore team B will get smashed by team C, but in this case, I think those games sum up where all 3 teams are right now. Liverpool are the best team in Europe, despite their league position I still think Man City are better than everyone else, and we are trying to somehow close the gap on both of them.

A draw would be an unbelievable result, I just can't see it in a million years with that defence right now.

Already switched the ‘commentary’ off. They are waffling on about anything other than what’s happening on the pitch!

All things considered, we have played well and should be level. I like the system with Gordon coming central and Willock providing the width. They are so lethal on the break but we have by and large defended well, apart from the goal where it was a shambles.

Got no idea why Pope has forgotten where the posts are but the first goal against Forest he was too far to his left, tonight he was too far to his right. When he dives he is just diving on the spot, he isn't moving his feet quick enough or saving anything with his feet anymore. It's like watching a Legends match with a 50 odd year old keeper in net. I can't honestly believe just how far off it he is. Could be the shoulder, could be age, whatever it is, he is a liability right now.

Shit from Bruno for the 2nd goal, sums up his last 2 months. We could be playing until Christmas and still not score. We did okay between the two boxes, but carried fuck all threat in the final 3rd and were shit when it mattered in our defensive 3rd. A better performance than I expected and likewise with the goals against, I thought we would capitulate at 2-0 but we didn't.

The substitutions as always happens when Howe makes wholesale changes, have the exact opposite effect, and instead of breathing new life into the team, the players who come on seemingly look more disinterested and tired than the ones they replace. Maybe a nitpick too far but it's a common theme this season thay pisses me off.

Would Isak have been the difference? Maybe so. Let's hope he is fit for the final, otherwise we will be looking at a carbon copy of what we just watched.

Pleased with our fighting response to that early goal and our effort throughout the game. Unlucky not to be level at half time. We were not thumped as many thought we would be without Isak, and overall I think the team deserves some credit for that.
The keeper situation is concerning, but with Isak and Joe back for the cup final we should remain positive after tonight’s showing.
