Man City A

All going to plan.  Let them tire themselves out with their goal celebrations in the first half and then do it some more in the second half.  Excellent!

The worst Man City team we have played in the Pep era and the mentality midgets that still plague this squad turn up and put in that fucking disgraceful shit show.

First throw in we had after all the Man City pressure in the first few minutes, straight to Bruno and straight out for a Man City throw in. You can tell what performance you are going to get from us within a few minutes of a game like this. No heart, no fight, no quality, no midfield and a defence looking like a group of pissed up geriatric strangers fished straight out of a local nursing home and thrown together for the first time in their lives.

They deserve pelters for this, because Arsenal aside, our performances againt Bournemouth, Fulham and now today are following an increasingly worrying trend of half arsed (I am being generous) attitudes that wouldn't like out of place in any number of shit Newcastle teams under various cretins in the Mike Ashley era.

I'd take Dubravka, Trippier, Hall, Willock and Gordon off, and that isn't because the rest deserve to stay on, perhaps leave Hall for now and then there is a roaming sub for later in the game in case of an injury. The game is completely over, our goal difference is going to take a twatting, and a genuine chance to get at a Man City side with massive vulnerabilities has been passed by without a care in the world.

Must have been a hell of a week in training to turn up and serve this trash, is this the level of performance we can expect until the inevitable collapse/no show in the Cup final?!

I think that this performance, this one out of plenty of garbage performances this season, is the one that has finally written Isak's transfer request at the end of this season. Why would he stick around for another season of this crap?

I have to wonder if Pep sent a message to Howe about the formation and approach which his faltering side would like to face today, because I can't see how we could be any more accommodating to this lot. WTF is Howe thinking for Christ's sake?

Howe still couldn't have any meaningful impact at half time with either his words, tactics or substitutions. It's rare you are 3-0 down and don't manage to put the other side under pressure at some stage when they inevitably take their foot off the gas, so it's quite some achievement to give zero fucks to go 3-0 down, then continue to give zero fucks at 3-0 down until full time, during which time you concede a 4th. For every single player to turn up and put in that level of performance and with that attitude, on the back of doing the same against West Ham, Bournemouth and Fulham, shows there is a fundamental problem somewhere in the way we prepare for certain opposition. One or two can have off days, but every single player? That's on Howe.

We had an amazing mentality the season we came 4th, but last season big cracks started to show, excused by injuries and fixture congestion (although I didn't agree with the excuse on every occassion) and this season we have looked as fragile as any Newcastle side in the last 20 years in far too many games, seemingly with no obvious explanation as an outsider looking in.

Sure, Tripper looks like his legs have gone, Schar is coming to an end as a first team regular, Willock has lost all his confidence, and Dubravka is unable to dive to his right hand side and save basic shots, but collectively, if the attitude is right, these issues would not be as glaring as they were today.

Not sure what else to add, there is plenty to pick apart but when you are looking at everything being so horrific, I think it is fair to point the blame at Howe, the preperation for these types of games and what ever the fuck is going on behind closed doors that allows these types of performances to happen at a frequency that will cost us a Champions League place.

Just watched the "highlights" on Sky this morning.

Where on earth do we begin? Total bollox throughout the team.

Howe has to see that Dupiaza is not the answer in goal - whichever way you pitch the question.

Defence is shite (again).

Isak will be off - and Bruno too - probably to City.

Gordon to Liverpool.

Can't blame any of them.
