Think we all know this will be a tough game to win.
But great to see 2 or 3 of the long-term casualties available for selection again - although Eddie did point out in his pre-match press conference that it will take them a few weeks to get fully fit and back up to speed.

Not playing our best by any means but an improvement on recent performances.
2 goal cushion is very welcome at half time.
More of the same second half please!

I thought first half was as good as we have played at home in a while. We pressed, played with intensity, when we had to counter we did it well, we were getting bodies forward and looked dangerous every time we went forward.
2nd half was a different game, we didn't play with the same intensity, the players tired, but then the subs came on and did a job of getting the game going again and allowing us to get forward and not just soak up the bits of pressure Wolves put on us.
I don't think Isak played particularly well either, aside from his goal his hold up play was poor, he gave the ball away a lot, I think if he was sharper today, we would have had the game put away by half time. We were really sloppy in possession at times as well, Schar giving the ball away a lot, Trippier likewise with misplaced passes. On the flip side I thought Gordon gave Semedo a tough afternoon, and he normally used to have ASM in his pocket whenever we played Wolves previous. Willock offered a lot going forward, his energy and pace is absolutely needed in that midfield. Bruno had a fantastic game, really took control of that 2nd half and should have had at least 1 assist to his name off the corner to Burn and the Almiron pass.
Overall, much improved performance, 3 goals scored, none conceded and we were are still a way away from our best, that's a good afternoon's work I'd say.

That’s my take on it too.
In his defence I don’t think Isak is 100% fit yet.

Serious question for anybody who goes to St. James's to watch us: What is it that Sean Longstaff does for 75-80 minutes a game while he's not playing football for NUFC? Does he bring a folding chair, find a quiet patch of grass and sit and eat his sarnies? Or does he maybe have one of those portable games consoles to play on? Of course, I don't mean a Wii 'cos as far as I can tell, you could accidentally exert yourself playing on one of those. Or maybe he doesn't sit down and instead has to bust a gut trying not to get involved. I really don't know what it is he does, so would be grateful if anybody could explain why this charlatan thinks he's a professional footballer and, worse, should be playing for Newcastle United.
