mbiwa to save pardews job
subs him at the last game and has to play him due to coolos injury

a poor display and a thumping from the scouse SAS and pardew could well be gone

a good game and a draw or a win and pardew can say subbing him at half time saved him

he was allegedly bought in by pardew and llamearse as coolos replacement

so lets see how he does .

a very important game for both people

RE: mbiwa to save pardews job
Even if Taylor were "fit" for tomorrow (which he isn't), he would not be match fit, as he has only played about 20 minutes of the season so far. So Mbiwa had to come back into the team.
And is it seriously being suggested that Taylor will play 90 minutes against Sunderland just because he is "local"? I think he might play some part in that match but I would be reluctant to start with him. He will have to be eased back into the team, I think. To me the question is a little redundant, as Taylor would only be my 4th choice centre-half at Newcastle. He does make the occasional heroic, last-ditch tackle but, mostly and from what I can see, I don't think he has developed very much (if at all) in recent years.

I'd prefer to have Williamson in over saylor anyway, agree with blue, I don't rate saylor

A bit of an ironic thread in the end. Mbiwa played but got sent off for a brutal assault on the delicate Suarez. Pardew however appears to still be in situ.

RE: mbiwa to save pardews job
I think it was a shocking piece of play by M'biwa on Saturday and its worrying with stuff like that to suggest that he will be a future captain here.
Obviously still finding his way, but has a lot to learn, and fast.
Won't be a miss on Sunday.

The big positive to come out of our defensive crisis is the form of Williamson.
Takes a lot of sh*t when he gets things wrong, but I have to say when he has played this season he has been excellent.

The question for this weekend is who partners him?
Do we stick with Dummett who will no doubt still be on a high from last weekend, or risk an unfit Taylor?
I would stick with Dummett and see how it goes.
