Season Tickets
It's not even deadline day yet but the fookas have taken the money for tickets out of my bank account!

Problem is, I hadn't put the money in yet - thought they'd at least have the decency to wait until after 31st!!

aaagh

RE: Season Tickets
That's dreadful but typical. My friend pays via the DD system and they started taking his money a few days early, even though I think it's illegal.

I had announced to all and sundry, months back, that I would not be renewing and would grow old gracefully at long last. Mainly because I was sick of trundling my way down Barrack Road in all weathers, on all days and in particular on Sundays, Monday nights, Saturday evenings etc. There is nothing wrong with being soaked, buffeted by strong winds or frozen to death for a 3pm kick off on a Saturday - it's acceptable.

However when it came to it and after 25+ years, I couldn't not do it so my disgraceful life continues. Plus, I walked back home after the mackems game and to SJP for the Arsenal game and I did the journey in one Playlist on my phone - I actually enjoyed it and it's rare to be able to listen to a complete 10-track playlist in one go.

RE: Season Tickets
I pay mine on the 10 year plan thing as well and I'm sure the first payments came out on the 27th of the month when they weren't supposed to come out till the 1st of the following month.
Not clever really but they aren't the best at organising stuff as we all know.

As for packing it all in and not going, when is too old to go?
When have you been going for too long?
My guess would be never but then we aren't all the same.

I have a had a few mates saying, at various points and under various managers "thats it, I'm not going back"
When it came to the reality and realisation of a lifetime of trawling the Metro Centre while the games were on, none of them packed in.

RE: Season Tickets
direct debit, i'm sure they are usually worded as on or around (such and such) date

to be fair i think its often the banks fault when money is taken out sooner
i'd be surprised if the date for taking payments is after the 28th so as to cater for ALL months

like always everybody just does as they like, against the ordinary people on the street Sad

Freedom is just another word for nothing left to lose.

RE: Season Tickets
We pay cash up front - so almost £1500 went wooshing oot of my current account.

Pushed me into the range of overdraft where I have to pay interest - so the tickets just got more expensive!!

Think I'll send Mikey-Boy an invoice for the interest!

huh

RE: Season Tickets
I paid my 3 years up front too. This is the last year of the current deal coming up. Hopefully 13/14 will be more like 11/12 than 12/13.

I suppose when I reach the stage of getting there and forgetting why I'm there Big Grin

I hate shopping, particularly at the Metro Centre, so I've done the right thing.
