what more can ash do
got all his targets

sorted us financially

got us a load of purple players

just hope pardew can get these players playing

seems he s been patient and got the players he wanted (all international )proven players on good long term deals without bankrupting us

he had given the current squad and manager time to prove themselves. it hasnt worked and hes worked his magic .

i just cant see why these players would want to sign for a sh*t club with a sh*t owner who is only trying to phuck the club up whilst pardew pays of his debt

RE: what more can ash do
I wouldn't mind him selling us to some body who has the financial clout and the smarts to let someone with footballing smarts run the club. Fat Ash has got us financially stable no doubt, but under him we have experienced relegation, unstable transfer windows and completely disrespect for our home St. James Park. I understand if we can't splash cash like we use to and nor should we. But when we go after a target we should get them and not have fecking QPR take them. We shouldn't let our top goalscorer go because he wants to make what arguably he deserves and because we
think it's too much. We shouldn't have to be in the position we are now because we didn't think we needed to spend in the summer. Like it or not the EPL is about money and how much you spend on depth. If Ash can't afford to do that and run a financial stable club then he needs to start looking for a buyer that can.

Nice, rose-tinted wind-up P'boro

Allow me to introduce some reality...........

"sorted us financially"? - actually, when Ashley took over the club were £75M in debt. We now owe Ashley £120M - we're actually more in debt than when he took over - and that debt will have to be settled by anyone who wants to buy the club.

"Purple Players" - he's gained us two at most. Excluding Haidara (development squad) there are 4 "purples" bought - minus Ba and Simpson leaving that's an increase of two.

All this tosh about "being patient" and "getting his targets" - do you think he would have spent any of this money if we were sitting comfortably in the top ten? He's splashed the cash to protect his investment - he is terrified of missing out on the increased Sky gravy train coming next season.

But you left the best to last LOL!

i just cant see why these players would want to sign for a sh*t club with a sh*t owner who is only trying to phuck the club up whilst pardew pays of his debt

Funny how in your mind everything good that happens at the club is down to Ashley - everything bad is down to Pardew. Yeah mate - let's just rewrite history eh?

So tell me this - why did these players sign for this sh*t manager you keep banging on about?

yes we could spend as much as everton, west brom ,fulham, swindon norwich etc i suppose

the prem might be about money but not what you spend but how you spend and when you spend

why worry about remy

seems to me the likes of sissokso mbwiga etc thought the offer was good enough to come here and arguably are better players remy took the money and if thats what he wanted im glad we didnt get held to ransom

we all want ba replacing ,but what happens if cisse now starts scoring
or even guuffaann.i agree we need 3 top strikers .

most on herer slated ash saying we would never get decent players to come here .well we have just got 5 internationals all willing to sign long term contracts on reasonable wages .all long term targets ,1 actually willing to forgoe a payment

tells me more about the club than the players we dont get .

RE: what more can ash do
Most of us have complained about the historical aspect. We're all pleased we have players in (shame they're not all internationals as you keep claiming, but still). The thing is, the horse may not have fully bolted yet, but he's roaming outside of the stable. we are 2 points off the relegation spot, and have just got beaten at home by the club with the worst away record in the league.

The sign of a well run club is to plan. If we had planned, then we'd not be staring relegation in the face, and having to buy so many players in January.

How ever many ways you throw the same argument at us, the facts remain the same. One swallow doesn't make a summer. Perhaps if Ashley builds up the squad, and maintains some strength in depth over the next few windows, then people may join your ash love-in. Until then, we are looking at what he has achieved since he arrived, and not just what he's done in the last week.

RE: what more can ash do
so which one isnt an international or played for his country at international level

you seem to think the reason players dont come is ash or the club do not want them

you dont get every player you want when you want not even those you thrwo maney at

you say a well club plans ,well it seems to me we scouted and planned to get these players ,we looked at their contracts their release dates their wages their desire to come to us that is planning

i dont think the planning ais the issue with our position its players not stepping up when given the chance players not performing a manager not performing and injuries

since hes arrived he has took a club heading for relegation any way a club whose league position was slipping every season a team with mercenaries on stupid wages and contracts ,a club who had spent future revenues before we had them and a club in debt

hes made mistakes but si did the previous owners to the extent we could have gone out of buisness

he always said it was a 5 year plan

some things you have to wait for

RE: what more can ash do
The £120M debt is mentioned in an article in the Journal looking at the club's accounts:

Yesterday’s accounts – filed with Companies House – showed that Mr Ashley had wiped clean the club’s overdraft and external debts which stood at more than £75m when he took control of the club and cost around £6.5m a year in interest.

In absorbing the club’s debt, the sports tycoon is now owed £140m, which he confirmed would still be available interest-free.

Read more: Journal Live http://www.journallive.co.uk/north-east-...z2J4VupXpz

What Ashley achieved by making the debt his own was he saved us paying £6.5M a year interest on the £75M debt he inherited. But the overall £120M is a debt from the club as a company to Ashley as an individual - and would have to be settled by any buyer on top of the amount they were paying for the club.
