John Peddie ensures Newcastle will have a Merry Christmas with his two goals against sunderland at the recently opened joker park in the first league meeting between the two rivals. Willie Wardrope scores the other in the 3-2 victory, and the points are very welcome in this season which has, so far been a shocker.
