Defensively this is prime any shit manager we have had in the last 20 years, absolutely abysmal so far.
Two absolutely atrocious goals to give away, Longstaff sadly played a part in all 4 goals so far.

The crowd need a special mention for how shit they are as well. Sounds like The Etihad, not St. James'.

I thought Villa might prove a turning point for the midfield, the lines were so much closer, we were aggressive in closing down space. Fast forward a few days and the midfield is back to the usual shit, flat across the middle, huge open spaces between defence and attack. Murphy is supposedly on thr right but is playing central and Almiron just isn't involved on the left. The midfield isn't playing well but I don't think it is simply down to them and them alone, the game is far too open, I don't understand how we can go from looking like top 4 material against Villa, with a performance similar to what we saw regular last season, to playing 4th bottom at home, and looking so vulnerable.
We have had our warnings with Burn down the left as well, you can see a goal coming from down that side. If only we had two younger and quicker options from the bench to help us out in that position.

Not a goal, but a fully deserved penalty. Eddie has his favourites, but he might at least have told Burn to hold a deeper position if he's going to leave him on. FFS

Had our warnings, Howe completely ignored them because that's what Howe does. Utter fucking shite management and equally shite defending.

Hardly surprising given what has been going on in this game. 100% Eddie Howe's fault, that penalty.

Waits for the 4th goal and then takes Burn off, haha, fucking Howe man, what is his problem.

Aye, Howe’s faith in Dan Burn has to be wearing thin by now.

Shit result, just when the Villa performance and back to back wins made you think we might have a big push for a 5th place finish. 7 goals conceded at home to Forest and Luton, no fucking chance. Howe refuses to address obviously failings in the team. The midfield has been poor most of the season but he continues to play the same system every week. Burn continues to get exposed by teams for pace, refuses to play Livramento.
Big questions need to be asked about all of the players, why can they turn up and put in a performance for 90 minutes against Villa, but have to be 4-2 down at home to show the same fight and desire against Luton? Really poor against a team who have struggled away all season long.
Annoyed with myself for getting carried away after Villa, last season we could rely and trust these players, win, lose or draw, to put in an unbelievable shift every game, showing the same desire no matter who we are playing. The same cannot be said this season, like a bag of Revels, or dare I say, pretty much like how Bournemouth used to play under Howe, roll a dice on what will turn up.
