Little Bradley
The family of terminally-ill Sunderland fan Bradley Lowery has revealed he only has weeks to live.

The six-year-old from Blackhall Colliery, County Durham, suffers from neuroblastoma and is receiving palliative care at home.

An X-ray has now shown his tumours are spreading rapidly, and there is little room left in his lungs for oxygen.

A posting on the dedicated Facebook page read: "My heart is broken in two, it is too soon for this to happen."

Bradley, who was recently named Child of Courage at the Pride of North East Awards, became Sunderland's mascot and also led out the England team for its World Cup qualifier against Lithuania in March.

His family said that he had been receiving radiotherapy as he was in a lot of pain, but became unwell on Thursday, with very low oxygen saturation levels.

He was rushed to the Royal Victoria Infirmary (RVI) where it was found that his cancer had spread so far there was very little room left in his lungs.

A Facebook posting read: "Yes I knew this was coming but I thought it was going to be months not weeks.

"My baby has had to put up with so much over the past 4 years and now he has to suffer a painful death. How is that fair??? Why should any parent have to be put through this heart ache???"

Words can't describe how dreadful a situation this is for the little boy and his family. I choked when I read this, sent a shiver down my spine.

Sometimes life is fecking sh*t and completely unfair.

every breath must be a constant struggle. If there's no way back for the bairn then he and his family can only hope for a peaceful end.

No words really, are there? I hope that his last days are peaceful and pain free. We have no answers to this terrible disease, but at least medical care can ensure that for him.
He has been a shining light in a crappy world, as has the togetherness his plight has generated.
Bless you, little man. And your mum and dad.

Just bloody awful for all of them. Poor, poor bairn. Can't even imagine what his parents are going through.

RE: Little Bradley
We lost a son almost a year ago our Glen he was only 28 at the time and every single day he is in our thoughts and always will be. I completely understand what his parents are going through and i wouldn't wish it on anybody, when Bradley's time comes a part of those parents will also go and never return as they will never be the same again. It's so unfair to see your children go before you and my heart goes out to them.
