David Moyes has insisted he won't quit after threatening to “slap” a female reporter.
The Sunderland boss is confident he won't be sacked after says he isn't sexist, and that the outburst was “out of character”.
Moyes said he also apologised “to the girl” two days after her interview at the home game against Burnley.
He said: “In the heat of the moment I made a mistake in my comments to a BBC reporter. I profoundly regret it. I apologised. It is not my character and my type and once again I apologise.
“In the heat of the moment I used the wrong words.”

It really depends on context, doesn't it? If he said it in a threatening way then it's an outrageous thing to say.
But if it was a lighthearted bit of banter then I can't see the problem.
I've not heard the incident, but by all accounts they were both laughing as it was said. She has accepted his apology, though she doesn't appear to have been at all offended in the first place.
It's just the media picking at a scab. It all happened a good couple of weeks ago with nothing being made of it.

The lady in question made light of it at the time ( 2 months ago apparently) the PC brigade ( and some toon fans because he is their manager) have now jumped all over it and once again the minority who think they are the guardians of our feelings and behavior have won the day.
I hope the FA look at it it and report that there is nothing to see here so please get back to reading your labour party manifestos and and working on more lefty ways to destroy the country some more.
