the relegation battle thread
4 teams are in this battle imo ,
aston villa
sunderland
newcastle
norwich
so lets have a look at who has to play who in the run in i personally think aston villa are certs to go down
so we have norwich who play.......wba AWAY.newcastle HOME.palace AWAY.watford HOME.arsenal AWAY.man united HOME.everton AWAY.

SUNDERLAND WHO PLAY........newcastle AWAY,wba HOME.leicester HOME.norwich AWAY.arsenal HOME.stoke AWAY.chelsea HOME .watford AWAY.

NEWCASTLE who play ......leicester AWAY .sunderland HOME.norwich AWAY.southampton AWAY.swansea HOME .liverpool AWAY.palace HOME.villa AWAY.spurs HOME.

so looking at these 3 teams run ins .who has the easiest run in and who do you think will get relegated ,im going for aston villa ,sunderland and norwich to go down

RE: the relegation battle thread
I think Fat Sam's Sunderland will grind out enough one-pointers to stay up (plus the obligatory three points at our expense). Sadly, I think it will be us and Norwich for the drop.

RE: the relegation battle thread
so thats aston villa dropped 3 points at home .i means villa have played 30 .goal difference is -35 and 16 points .so unless they go on a winning streak of every game till the end ....its curtains

Very close to call but if we beat the teams around us we should have enough.

Boom,boom,boom,boom.....boom,boom,boom,boom.

RE: the relegation battle thread
Quite simple for me
If we are assuming the likes of palace and Swansea won't get pulled in, the next weekends derby decides it.
Villa and Norwich will go.
A draw or win for the Makems and we go as well.
A win for us will kick us off and the Makems will suddenly flounder.

Personally, I'm not ruling Palace and Swansea out yet.
They both have games that can see them dragged in to the fight.

Palace haven't won in the league this year and still have to come here and play Norwich. No doubt they have some difficult games as well.
Swansea are 9 ahead of us having played 2 more games. They have to come here as well.
If we are to do anything, we will beat them both.

Stupid as it sounds, and maybe sounding drink induced, I see us getting a point tomorrow and kick starting a run. God only knows why.

Reality is though that we have quarter of a season to play and there's time for a few shocks.

quarter of a season to get 15 points

15 points from 30.
5 winnable games plus games we could get something from.
One critical one you missed out.
Home to Man City.
A meaningless game for them and when games are meaningless both their team and fans show little interest.
That may well be a massive game in our season.

I'm a realist, and the reality is I still think we will go down.
I think the 2 games we had recently, Stoke and Bournemouth would have yielded 4 points under our new set up.
A massive feck up from he club to hang on longer than they should have.

What we do have though is a fighting chance and hopefully we will do just that and FIGHT.
