I think the one positive for me last night was that all 11 players selected TURNED UP.

The first time in ages that the likes of Wijnaldum and Sissoko have featured in the game rather than just being a name on the team sheet.

That has to be a positive.

Many may disagree, which is fine, but I thought Sissoko did quite well last night. “At it” from the off and got in some threatening positions.

Created a little bit, had at least 2 half decent efforts on goal though should have done better on other occasions. Definitely showed that Benitez may get something from him though.

Defensively, we are what we are. Short on numbers and quality, but despite our back four getting abuse from so many fans, we restricted them to ONE shot on target. For me, they only had one other clear cut chance when the lad put it past the far post.

Vardy got nothing and Mahrez got very little.

Think the team did ok defensively as a team, rather than just a back 4.

The attack is, as some have said, the major worry.

Mitrovic started well with some great hold up play and link up play. Faded badly and we needed someone to replace him.

Clearly Benitez does not see Riviere or Morgan Freeman as the answer or he would have taken a gamble on one or the other far earlier than he did.

We looked far better when Townsend came on and certainly played enough in their half to maybe merit an equaliser. A bit of luck was needed and I think the penalty appeal was a fair shout.

So definitely better than recent away games and this was against the team who look like being champions in May. God knows how mind based on their showing last night.

Is that improvement enough to see us home on Sunday, I really don’t know. A couple more players returning could be a massive difference for us.
